Summer School "Sustainable energy & intelligent environments. Enabling technologies"

Who?

NC State (Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering) and the University of Vigo (Escola de Enxeñería Industrial) are pleased to offer a unique four-day summer school, with the theme of enabling technologies for sustainable energy and intelligent environments. Instructors from both institutions will lead sessions on their areas of expertise; two sessions per day, for a total of sixteen hours. The sessions will be simulcast in both locations: Raleigh, NC, and Vigo, Spain. Participants at both sites will have full interactive access to the instructors, with the ability to ask questions and engage in discussions.

This is an introduction to a broad selections of topics under a single theme, including: embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart grid, power electronics, semiconductors, microfluidic devices and data centers.

For whom?

Preferably students of the Master´s Degree in Engineering (specially students from the Bachelor Degrees in Technology Engineering, Industrial Electronics & Automation Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Nevertheless, it is also open to other participants, preferably Bachelor students in their final year (specially students from the Bachelor Degrees in Technology Engineering, Industrial Electronics & Automation Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Benefits

Certificate of completion and free membership in IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IES (Industrial Electronics Society) for year 2016. It will be necessary to attend at least 75% of the lectures.
